Norbert W. Knoll von Dornhoff

I.                  Education

 

Date of birth: 27th March 1941, Austrian nationality. Originating from the south-tirolian noble family the  Barons Knoll of Dornhoff, first mentioned in the archives 1580. Married, three children. Studied jurisprudence and national economics at the Universities in Vienna, Austria and St. Gallen, Switzerland. Graduated Dr.jur. (LL.D) and Mag.rer.soc.oec (MBA). Languages: German, English, French (basic), Hungarian (basic) Latin (for jurists).

 

II.               Professional Carrier

 

Attorney at Law, later Head of the Environment and Energy Department of the Austrian Federal Chamber of Commerce, then appointed Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Chamber of  Architects and Engineers. Austrian Delegate to International Organisations (e.g. UNO, ECE, OECD), often as Extraordinary Ambassador and Authorised Minister. 1979 – 1982 Deputy Director Finance of

Wienerberger Baustoffindustrie AG.

 

From 1983 to 1991 Permanent Observer SACEP South Asian Co-operative Environment Programme (Governmental Organisation) to UNIDO in Vienna. Founding Member, General Secretary and now President of EIED European Institute for Economic Development, NGO under Austrian legislation.

 

Since 2007 Permanent Representative WASME World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises in Vienna and Alternate Representative WASME to UNIDO United Nations Industrial Development Organisation.

 

Since 2009 Secretary General (incumbent) of WASME and of the Conference on the foundation of WUSME World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises.

 

III. Publications and political programs

 

Knoll von Dornhoff publishes two books:
