Dipl.-Kfm. DIETER IBIELSKI

Dipl.-Kfm. Dieter IBIELSKI, born in 1935 in Mannheim (Germany), graduated in Economic Sciences, has been connected with the German Productivity organization (RKW) over three decades. At present he serves as both Presidential Counsellor of the Union of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (UMU) in Germany and the Chairman of the International Relation Committee of the European Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (EUSME). He represents UMU in the Board of the European Small Business Alliance (ESBA).

Apart from additional liasions, f.e. he is Member of the Small Business Association of the Christian Democratic Party (CDU). Mr. Ibielski belongs to the International Council for Small Business (ICSB), designated as Wilford L. White Fellow. In 1979, he was already in charge of convening the ISBC in Berlin, being thereafter several years Partner of the International Steering Committee. For long period he volunteered also as Senior Adviser at Large of the World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME). He is Honorary Member of the Hungarian Small Business Association (KKVE).

Dieter Ibielski published more than 250 essays on small business matters and addressed around 200 entrepreneurship conferences, mainly abroad. He was rewarded with numerous awards such as the Great Order of Honour of the Republic of Austria, the Golden Honour Needle of the German Central Crafts Industries Association, the WASME Special Honour Award and the Gold-Silver Goblet of the Korean Businessmen’s Association.
