Date and place of birth: 5th of August 1962, Târgu-Mureº

Education:

  • 1969 – 1981 the primary school, the secondary school and the high school at “Bolyai Farkas” high school in Tg-Mureº.
  • 1981 – 1985 the Faculty of  Mathematics at “Babeº-Bolyai” University, Cluj-Napoca.

Academic preparation:

  • From 27th of October till 27th of November 1992 I followed a training program in computer management organized in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Windesheim High School , Zwolle, Holland.
  • September 1989 – Training program in computer science for leading social – economic processes, organized by the Ministry of Interior Commerce. 
  • 29th of October – 1st of November 2003 – International Seminar of Actuary – Risk classification – organized by the Faculty of Mathematics in Bucharest in partnership with the International Association of Actuary.
  • In 1997 (for a month) I gained a postgraduate scholarship offered by Mathematics Institute of Hungarian Academy.
  • In 1998 (for two months); in 1999 (for two months) and in 2000 (for one month) I gained a postgraduate scholarship offered by Eötvös Loránt University, Budapest, Hungary.
  • In 2001 (for a month) I gained a post doctorate scholarship offered by the Hungarian Academy, “Domus” program.

Primary teaching area: Mathematics.

Present teaching area: Applied Mathematics.

Foreign languages: English, Italian.

Doctorate: the public presentation of the thesis “The improvement of the accuracy in finite element method for elliptic equations” took place on  27th of September 1999. It was confirmed by the National Council of University Certificates, Diplomas and Titles Attestation in the meeting from the 25th of February 2000.

Relevant leadership experience:

  • From 2000 till 2002 I was the head of the Management and Economic Department.
  • From 1st of March I am dean of the Faculty of Economics, Law and Administrative Sciences at “Petru Maior”  University.

Awarded degrees: associate professor (through the Minister’s order no. 3950 / 5th of June 2001).

Honors and Awards: Honorable mention from Ministry of Education,  June 1989, Iasi.

Member of: Probabilities and Statistical Society, Operational Research Society and International Society of Applied Mathematics (PAMM).
