The
Campus
The campus is beautifully
laid out on a 4000 m2 picturesque and landscaped locale. Newly remodeled,
the attractive university buildings include a large amphitheater,
classrooms, computer labs, a library, study rooms, faculty and administrative
offices, a cafeteria/restaurant, and student dormitories. It is a truly safe
and relaxing study environment, allowing students to concentrate on their
studies but also to liberally mingle with their peers. The campus also supports
outdoor activities and sports facilities.
The mission of the
University of New York in Skopje is to offer students the opportunity to obtain
a university degree at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level in a variety of
academic and professional specializations; to provide them with the theoretical
knowledge and applied skills, and confidence necessary to pursue a
wide range of career paths and succeed in a diverse international
work environment; and to prepare them to become pro-active and productive
citizens of the world community.

Requirements
• Completion of 128 academic credits or 256 ECTS credits that
include required General Education courses, required courses in the
major/concentration, SUNY, Empire State College courses and elective courses.
• A minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.00 equivalent to a letter grade of C.
Program
Structure
The program is designed
to be completed in four years and leads to the award of an accredited degree
from the State University of New York, Empire State College or an accredited
degree from the
The academic year is
divided into two semesters: Fall and Spring. Classes
meet for 15 weeks and students typically enrol in 5 courses each semester;
however, students may take a reduced number of classes to accommodate their
work schedules. Final examinations are taken in each course at the conclusion
of the
semester. A six-week summer session may be offered depending on student
demand.

Admission to the program is competitive. Following items are
necessary to be considered for admission to UNYS.

•Certified copy of high school transcript
•English language test with a minimum TOEFL score of 530 written
or 197 electronic
•Admissions interview with program representative
Application Procedure
The following items may be submitted by or in-person. Once UNYS
receives all
documents you will be invited to the campus for an interview.

Transfer students are required to submit following additional

Financial Assistance and Scholarships
”Boris Trajkovski
Scholarship”- Each year UNYS awards
two full scholarships to high school graduates to honor
our late President Boris Trajkovski.
Academic Excellence Scholarship - Up to five scholarships
awarded to UNYS students who have achieved the highest grades in the previous
academic year.
Payment Calendars - Students have the option to pay their
tuition and fees in instalments.
