Thesises

Using a cross-national comparative framework, the study undertakes to examine the importance and impact of historical, cultural and socio-economic settings in the United Kingdom and Sweden on private charitable contributions to overseas poverty reduction. The aim of this research is to identify the origins of pro-social behaviour of individuals living in rich countries in relation to poverty reduction in poor countries, and also to draw conclusions on pro-social behaviour in general.
